UNIT 10

In unit 3 I was just starting out on this journey
I gave myself a 7 for physical, spiritual was a 1, and psychological was a 4.
I think I was not confident and somewhat lost, I know I have gained a lot since then.
My goals were:
A- Physical Goal- Eat more fruit and vegetables everyday for the next 6 weeks.
B- Spiritual goal- Do research on religion and spiritualness and find what works for me in the next 6 weeks.
C- Psychological- Do relaxation exercises everyday for at least 2 minutes for the next 6 weeks.

I have made progress in every area. I have been eating more fruits and vegetables, I have been craving them, since I found out I was pregnant two months ago.
I have been doing relaxation exercises everyday, maybe not twice a day everyday, but every night to help me relax and go to sleep. My spiritual journey, is still that, a journey. Its a work in progress, and I am still working with that part of myself. I have been able to do these activities by making sure that I put aside time everyday to stay mindful.

I have had a great personal experience throughout this class. This class has been the most unique class I have ever taken because it gets so personal. Its been rewarding because I don't feel lost like I used to, its like I have been opened to a whole new world. I am excited to continue on in life and do these practices to stay mindful, because its amazing, and I have never felt better.

  1. Hi Dana,

The most important thing about this class, for me, was the realization that I needed help in certain areas and that I COULD change if I set my mind to it. I haven't progressed as much as I would have liked to in the last few weeks but this class has armed me with the ability to help myself change. After I become whole, I will be able to more successfully help others. When this class first started, I will admit I was quite skeptical about the course content. I am glad I stuck with it because I have learned some valuable skills for stress reduction as well as ways to incorporate peace into my life. I plan on continuing to blog as well; it helps me to vent on occasion. ;)

Good luck to you in whatever you do!

  2. Dana,

First of all, Congrats on your pregnancy. I can understand where you were when we first started this class. It is neat to go back and look at where we were and where we are now. Good luck in all you do and with your pregnancy.

  3. I agree, this class does allow for a much more personal approach to learning. I didn't feel stifled in any way.

Congrats on the bouncing baby! Have you experienced much morning sickness? Gotta love those fruits and veggies! The elation I feel when my 2 year old chatters and cheers for JuicePlus, broccoli, green beans, apples and grapes is immeasurable. It makes me very sad to think of those who do not have food. I am so very grateful that my children have enough. Picturing your sweet baby as mellow and docile after all those relaxation exercises makes me giggle like a school girl! He or she may very well be the tamest child on the planet! lol

    Blessings-

  4. Congratulations! It appears that you have integrated Integral Health and Human flourishing very well. This was a great class, your goals were clearly defined and I see that you well on your way to integrating spirituality into your daily life. Eating foods that are pure and placing them into your temple on a daily basis is one of the ways to tap into your spiritual authentic self. Good luck and many blessings in your future endeavors. Deb
